Top Ten Things I've Been Loving Lately (part two!)

I had such an awesome response the last time I did a blog post like this, I figured it might be fun to do again. These are various things I’ve been loving lately, check them out!

  1. The Bible Recap

The Bible Recap is a podcast/ reading plan to read the entire bible in a year! Every day you read a couple chapters and then listen to a podcast that’s about 5-7 minutes which breaks down what you just read and helps you further comprehend it. I’m not typically someone who loves podcasts but this has been amazing so far and I’ve loved including it in my daily time with Jesus. I am only about a month in and I already feel like I’ve learned so much and gained new perspectives that I didn’t have before. 10/10 recommend!!!

2. Scrunchies from The She Jewels

I have always loved scrunchies but never found any that would really hold my thick hair well and were also super cute.. but The She Jewels does just this! The owner behind the company is the sweetest person ever and it’s so evident how much effort she puts into what she does given the incredible packaging and the sweet thank you notes she will send. I wear these all the time and they are truly my favorite scrunchies ever. Y’all definitely need to check them out, the website is linked here!

3. “It’s Not Supposed to be This Way” by Lysa Terkeurst

This book is INCREDIBLE. I absolutely loved Uninvited but this has been even better. If you’re looking for a new read full of beautiful truths and encouragement, I would absolutely say to check this out. Lysa’s story is such a beautiful testament to the way Jesus can redeem even the toughest of situations. Get it here !

4. DIFF Blue Light Glasses

If you know me you know that I struggle with pretty bad migraines on a daily basis. If you know me you also know that between school, blogging, and being on my phone, I’m often staring at a screen. These glasses block the harmful blue light that comes from those screens and I notice such a difference in my headaches when I wear them, not to mention the fact that they’re super cute! If you’re interested in getting a pair of your own, I have a discount code for 20% off that you can get through the link here. I have the Sawyer’s in vintage crystal (pictured here)!

5. “Good Grace- Live” by Hillsong United

After spending the last 21 days at Church of the Highlands for 21 days of prayer, I have discovered so many new worship songs that I just cannot stop listening to. My favorite is without a doubt Hillsong United’s new release. I love the lyrics “Let the praise go up as the walls come down”.

6. 52 Lists for Togetherness

Jordan got me this journal for my birthday and I’m obsessed! I love making lists and this book has been so fun to go through. I ordered one for my friend Genna as she's been home recovering after being sick to pass the time and she has been loving it too! This would make the sweetest gift for a friend or even just to treat yourself. You can get it here!

7. Nike Air Force 1

I got these for my birthday and have worn them almost every day since! I love how casual they are but yet how they can also dress up an outfit. I have the grey ones but also love the pink/beige and the white! They’re pretty hard to find right now but you can get the grey pair on FootLocker here.

8. She Reads Truth Bible

IMG_3265.JPG

I’ve always used the same bible forever but last semester I decided I wanted to switch it up and get a new one! I had heard such great things about the She Reads Truth Bible from some friends and decided to check it out and I could not be more obsessed! After using it for the last few months I feel like I have learned so much. There are specific reading plans for each book of the Bible and it includes passages to “go deeper” and shows the connections between the Old and New Testament where Jesus fulfilled the things God said He would do. There are also maps, which for me as a visual learner, have been so helpful! I love seeing where exactly things occurred and being able to put that all together in my head. I totally recommend this if anyone is looking for a new bible. You can get it here!

9. Made By Lexi Jewelry

Made By Lexi sent me this adorable star necklace and I absolutely love this and the fact that they donate to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. This organization is so close to my heart and I love being able to support this small business. Ever since my grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a few years ago, I’ve wanted to do more to help find a cure and I love that simply by purchasing some adorable jewelry, I can do just that! Check out their website here.

10. Kristen Ess Texture Spray

This stuff works MIRACLES when it comes to my hair. Since my hair is so long, thick, and straight, it gets flat super easily. I spray this stuff at my roots almost every time I do my hair nowadays and it gives it just enough of a boost to look like it has a lot more volume. I really don’t know how I ever did my hair without this! The texture powder is another great addition but the texture spray is what I use on a daily basis. Shoutout to my girl Natalie Moore for the recommendation. Grab it here from Target!

I hope these various products and things inspired you all with some new things to try out! If you do try any of these things, I’d love to hear what you think! Have a great week!
