Top Ten Things I've Been Loving Lately

I wanted to take some time today to share with y’all some of my most favorite things recently. In no particular order, I have absolutely been loving all of these items and wanted to share the fun!

  1. Turbo Coffee Roasters

As Tuscaloosa’s latest coffee shop, Turbo has become a new favorite of mine. From the aesthetically appealing location and decor, adorable glasses they serve their coffee in, plus the variety of the menu (everything from coffee, eggs, smoothies, and even acai bowls) this place is too fun! It makes for the perfect study spot, a sweet coffee date with friends, or even just a place to hang out. I will definitely be spending a lot more time here this semester and can’t wait to keep trying out more things on the menu. Jordan and I both ordered vanilla latte’s with almond milk when we were here last and we are o b s e s s e d to say the least.

2. South Boutique Corded Sorority Sweatshirt

I got this sweatshirt from South at the beginning of the semester and have been living in it ever since-- I only ever take it off to wash it I feel like! It is seriously one of the comfiest sweatshirts I’ve ever owned and I love how cute and trendy it is. South carries a bunch of different sororities in different colors along with Ttown ones. This has become a staple in my wardrobe and I seriously wear it everywhere!

3. Eric Church’s “Desperate Man” Album

As if Eric Church wasn’t already one of my favorite artists of all time (right next to Justin Timberlake) he just released this incredible album that I cannot stop playing on repeat. My favorite songs on this album would have to be “Heart Like a Wheel” , “Some of It”, and “Jukebox and a Bar”. Even if you’re not a country music fan, Eric Church really is something special. If you’ve never heard his music before, definitely check out this album and be sure to listen to “Springsteen” and “Holdin’ My Own”, two of my most favorite songs ever.

4. Scentsational Pumpkin Coconut Candle

I am typically not a big fan of fall scented candles, but when I was looking for new candles at TJ Maxx and smelled this one, I knew I had stumbled upon a new favorite! While pumpkin coconut might sound like an odd scent, this candle smells so yummy and gives you all the fall vibes. I just recently got this and am already burning through it so quickly! Next time you’re at TJ Maxx, check out their candle section and see if you can find this gem.

5. Bubly Sparkling Water

I have loved Bubly for awhile but have recently become obsessed with it!!! This is such a great alternative to soda or even good for when you’re in the mood for something a bit more exciting than water. All of the flavors are great but I especially love lime, mango, and strawberry! The design of the cans and the cute greetings such as “yo” or “hi” on the pop tabs are so sweet. I love these drinks and they have quickly become a staple in my day to day.

6. Anatomy Coloring Book

This might be super nerdy of me to include on the list of top ten things I’ve been loving lately, but I don’t know what I would do without this coloring book! I’m such a visual learner and currently enrolled in anatomy and physiology where we are required to memorize a great deal of body structures, tissues, and bones at a time. This coloring book is so helpful to be able to label the structures and color them in at the same time, making it so much easier to remember and study from. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone enrolled in anatomy! You can get it for only $16.99 on amazon here.

7. My Current Mauve Nail PolisH

This past weekend while I was home, my sweet grandma took me to get a mani pedi & I am in love with the color we picked out!! A mauve color such as this is perfect as a transition shade into fall. I love it because it seems to almost change color and match whatever I am wearing. It can look purple, brown, nude, or even kind of gray depending on the light. If you’re looking to change up your nail color this fall, choosing a color like this is a fun idea!

8. Picsart collages

After seeing some collages like this on VSCO and Pinterest, I was inspired and wanted to create some of my own! These are so fun to set as your phone or computer background, and I love it because it includes so many words and pictures of things I love. I used the app PicsArt and love how it allows you to combine so many images into one collage. This collage I made below is currently my phone background and I’m excited to make some more and change it up every once in awhile!

9. Sephora Lipstories Lipstick in “Tan Lines”

This is my favorite go-to nude lipstick and the best part is, it’s only $8! I had never worn Sephora brand lipstick before but after seeing Kristin John’s YouTube video that she made featuring their LipStories collection, I knew I had to check it out. Not to mention the fact that her video is the cutest thing ever.. watch it here and I promise it will make you want to buy some too! I love the shade tan lines in particular because it seriously goes with everything! Whenever I’m not sure what lipstick to pair with my makeup look, this is my go-to pick.

10. Pinterest

I’ve always loved Pinterest but have recently spent a lot of time on it finding new fun bloggers and people to follow, as well as updating my boards and uploading content of my own! I love that this is a space full of inspiration, new ideas, and artsy pictures. My Pinterest account really does represent me and my interests so well and it’s been really fun learning more about the platform and spending more time on it. Check out my accounts and different boards here.
