Top 10 Things on my Bucket List
I absolutely love to travel and have such a long list of things that I want to see and do one day, but these are some of the major highlights. I can’t wait to see the world and explore all of the beauty of God’s creation!!! Here are the top 10 things I’m going to make sure I experience in my lifetime.
Learn How to Surf in Hawaii
I’ve always thought that surfing was SO cool and what better place to learn than Hawaii? After my mom travelled to Hawaii this fall I have wanted to go so badly and I really hope to make it there sometime soon. One of my favorite instagrammers (@chelsea.jean) lives in Hawaii with her precious family and I absolutely love seeing all her photos of this beautiful place. This is definitely a dream destination and somewhere I am so excited to adventure to.
2. Get baptized in the Jordan River and Walk Where Jesus Walked
Reading the bible & imagining all of the places Jesus walked and the things He did has made me so passionate about traveling to Israel one day and experiencing the land He lived in. I would absolutely LOVE to be re-baptized in the Jordan River and even float in the Dead Sea. This is a trip that is so close to my heart and definitely something I am hoping to do sooner than later. I can’t imagine the overwhelming feeling of the Holy Spirit when being in the same place that Jesus was thousands of years ago. I’ve seen photos and videos from others who have been on this same kind of trip and it has made me even more excited about going there one day.
3. Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival
I have always loved hot air balloons and never actually taken a ride in a real one (unless you count the tethered one at Connor Prairie…) but think they are just one of the coolest and most beautiful things. My parents took a hot air balloon ride over Sedona, Arizona and said it was one of the most amazing things they have ever done. When I found out about the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon festival, I was instantly obsessed! This is one annual weekend in October where people from around the globe come and all fly their hot air balloons together, or simply watch everyone else do so. The pictures are absolutely breathtaking that I truly can’t imagine how stunning it would be to experience in person!
4. See Eric Church Perform from the Front Row
Eric Church is my all-time favorite country artist and I truly don’t think there’s a song of his I don’t like. I’ve never seen him in concert but when I do, it will absolutely be in the pit!!! That’s my favorite way to do a concert and I really don’t think there would be any better way to experience my favorite artist than up close and personal like that. I’ve seen Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, and Thomas Rhett all this close and those were seriously some of my most favorite concerts and memories ever.
5. Ride an Elephant in India
Elephants are one of my favorite animals (roll tide am I right?!) and I think riding one through India would be one of the coolest experiences ever. My dad travels to India often for work and I’ve always wanted to go and experience their food, culture, and all of the beautiful things to see there. I think the Taj Mahal is so beautiful and can’t imagine how incredible going on a trip to see that would be.
6. Stay in an over-the-water bungalow in Bora Bora
I have watched countless Youtube videos from vloggers who have stayed in beautiful bungalows like this and it looks unreal. Pictures similar to this one are flooded all over Pinterest and I have spent so much time looking into resorts like this and what kind of experiences they offer. This might be far off, but is absolutely something I want to go do one day. Some resorts even have glass on the floor of the bungalow so you can see through to the water underneath. Most places also offer day trips outside the resort and all inclusive packages. An absolute must on my bucket list!!!
7. Explore Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming
Yet another trip that my parents have been on, this summer they headed out west and explored all over Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. The pictures that they sent me throughout the week and the incredible sights they saw made me want to travel here so badly. I love the simplicity and pure beauty of nature out there and truly can’t imagine how beautiful it must be in real life. This is a trip I am definitely hoping to take soon!
8. Watch Alabama Win a National Championship
I am so lucky to go to a school that is so talented and skilled at football. I absolutely love the atmosphere of school spirit at Alabama and after winning our 17th national championship last year, I want to actually attend the natty and watch them win so badly! One of my best friends, Jordan, was there to watch Bama beat Georgia last year and said it was an absolutely unbelievable experience. Even the energy on campus in Tuscaloosa was unreal that evening, so I can’t imagine how exciting it would be to be at the game.
9. Ride a Gondola in Italy
My family is from Italy and it has always been a place I’ve wanted to go see and experience. We LOVE Italian food (I’m truly not even sure if Italian in Italy would compare to Nonnie’s spaghetti and meatballs) and I would love to go experience the culture there and learn more about my heritage. Riding a gondola through the streets of Italy would be absolutely unreal. Ever since being obsessed with the Lizzie McGuire movie as a kid, Italy has been a dream trip and I am so excited to go there one day.
10. Go Skydiving
While I am usually someone who is not much of a risk-taker and tends to stay on the safe side of things, I love adventure and think skydiving would be so cool. To experience the world from that perspective and to free-fall through the sky seems absolutely incredible and I definitely want to do it at some point in time. As scary as it might seem, I think it would be an incredible experience.
Overall, these are some of the things I am most excited about hopefully experiencing one day. I cannot wait to travel all over and see more of what the world has to offer. Hopefully in the next few years I will begin to start blogging about actually experiencing these things, so stay tuned! What are some things on y’alls bucket lists? I’d love to hear in the comments below!!!
